Registration for IRD Voices will close MARCH 31, 2011 at 11:59:59 P.M. Eastern Time (ET). Submissions after this time will be selected.

International Relief & Development (IRD) has hired a third party Administrator, named Overdrive Interactive, Inc. to help manage submissions. Overdrive Interactive is an independent, third party marketing services organization retained by IRD to assist with the administration of IRD Voices. At times during the Sweepstakes, an Overdrive Interactive and/or IRD representative may contact an Entrant for customer service purposes.

Rules and Regulations for the IRD Voices are reflected below.

  1. Description of the Sweepstakes: IRD will select one globally-conscious individual each week to have an in-kind donation made on their behalf to the sector of their choice. Individuals will register online, select a sector from the featured IRD operations they are most interested to benefit from their donation and join IRD's e-community to receive newsletters. Individuals may click on the featured sector and read about the items for donation related to the cause, such as Health: hygiene kits will be sent on their behalf to a country in need; Relief: critical supplies will be deployed during the next disaster/relief effort; Food & Agriculture: food or seeds will be distributed to a country in need; and Infrastructure: supplies to build communities, roads or water filtration systems. Each donation of in-kind goods has a value up to $500. Individuals may reenter one time weekly and win another opportunity to donate to a different sector as they will rotate 3 sectors per week.

    Once the winner has been chosen at random, IRD will notify the winner. The winner will then be able to post their donation notification on Facebook, Twitter, additional social media and/or forward the congratulatory notification email from IRD bringing awareness of IRD's mission to friends and family.

  2. Sponsor: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by International Relief & Development (IRD), a non-government organization with principal place of business at 1621 North Kent Street, Fourth Floor, Arlington, VA 22209, USA.

  3. Binding Agreement: In order to enter the Sweepstakes, you must agree to these Official Rules ("Rules"). The Rules consist of the terms and conditions on this page and the Entry Form and Consent Form ("Sweepstakes Materials"). If you are under 18 years of age, you must obtain the prior permission of your parent and/or legal guardian and your parent and/or legal guardian must also agree to these Rules on their and your own behalf before you can enter this Sweepstakes. Because you will be bound by these Rules and these Rules will form a legally binding agreement with respect to this Sweepstakes, please read them carefully. You may not submit an entry to the Sweepstakes nor will you be eligible for the IRD Voices Experience outlined in these Rules unless you agree to these Rules. You agree that registration for this Sweepstakes and/or a submission of an entry in the Sweepstakes constitutes your agreement to these Rules.

  4. Eligibility: The IRD Voices Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of one of the 50 United States (including DC) who are at least 18 years of age. Entrants who are under the age of majority in their states of residents must have prior permission from their parents or legal guardians to participate. Internet access is required to register for the Sweepstakes, no mail or over the phone registrations are available. Employees, interns, contractors, and official office-holders, as well as their immediate families, of International Relief & Development (IRD), its affiliates, and any representatives or agencies of IRD or other persons professionally connected with the Sweepstakes are eligible to participate.

  5. Sweepstakes Period: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 P.M. Eastern Time (ET) on December 1, 2010 and ends on 11:59:59 P.M. Eastern Time (ET) on March 31, 2011.

  6. How To Enter: Entrants must register on the IRD's website (www.voices.ird.org) ("Website") by 11:59:59 P.M. Eastern Time (ET) on March 31, 2011. Sweepstakes registration, instructions on how to participate in the Sweepstakes and submit entries will be on the Website. All entries must be submitted online and none will be accepted by physical mail or via phone. Submissions must also be completed in English (unless otherwise specified), and must be received by IRD, at the designated Sweepstakes submission address indicated on the Website, no later than 11:59:59 P.M. Eastern Time (ET) on March 31, 2011 to be considered eligible entries. IRD accepts no responsibility for submissions lost, delayed, damaged, defaced, or mislaid, howsoever caused. Each Entrant may enter one (1) time. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant or player. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

  7. Conduct: By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules, which will also be posted on the Website. Failure to comply with these Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. IRD reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Entrant it finds to be: (1) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; (2) violating the Official Rules; (3) violating the terms of service, conditions of use or general rules or guidelines of any IRD property or service; or (4) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any false information provided within the context of the Sweepstakes by any Entrant concerning identity, postal address, ownership of right or non-compliance with the Rules may result in the immediate elimination of an Entrant from the Sweepstakes. IRD further reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it believes in its sole and unfettered discretion infringes upon any law or otherwise does not comply with these Rules. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY PROPERTY OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, IRD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

  8. Selection of the Winner: All entries will be entered into a random weekly drawing. The drawing will take place Mondays at 9:00 am ETC by Overdrive Interactive, Inc. The winner will then be notified via email by IRD prior to close of business on the following Monday. Entrants may only be selected as a winner one (1) time, regardless of how many entries they submit. The odds of being selected as a winner depend upon the number of eligible entries received as of the date of the drawing.

  9. Prizes: Voices Winners will have an in-kind donation worth approximately $500 made on their behalf to the chosen sector. Winners' name may be displayed on www.ird.org up to a year after the drawing. Voices Winners are responsible for taxes not covered by IRD. There is no cash alternative and the donations must be taken as offered. IRD reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of an equivalent value should the prizes become unavailable for any reason. WINNERS WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY CASH, PRIZE, OR COMPENSATION AS A RESULT OF BEING SELECTED A WINNER. THE ENTIRETY OF THE PRIZE IS THE DONATION TO THE SPECIFIED SECTOR ENTITY MADE IN THE NAME OF THE WINNER. Sponsor reserves the right to choose entity to which the donation is made, and decisions about the entity receiving the donation will be made by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Winners have no right to direct the donation or approve of the entity to whom the donation is given.

  10. Privacy Notice: By participating in this Sweepstakes, you agree that IRD can collect your personal information, and that if we cannot collect the required data, you may not be eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. Any personal information collected during the course of the Sweepstakes by IRD will only be used for administering this Sweepstakes and for other purposes as outlined in these Rules, and will be subject to the practices described in the IRD Privacy Policy. You will have the right to access, review, rectify or cancel any personal data held by IRD by writing to IRD (Attention: Advancement - Privacy Matters) at the IRD address listed above.

  11. General Conditions: This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other Promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

  12. Release: By being named a winner, winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

  13. Disputes: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia or the appropriate Commonwealth of Virginia Court located in Arlington County, Virginia; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the Commonwealth of Virginia or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  14. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Sponsor, Overdrive Interactive, Inc., and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant's sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes, provided that if it is not possible to award another entry due to discontinuance of the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, for any reason, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance for any or all of the prizes offered herein. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any other reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be available and/or claimed, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the stated number of prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, un-awarded, eligible prize claims.

  15. Third Parties: IRD is not responsible for the policies, actions, or inactions of others that might prevent you from entering, participating, and/or claiming a prize in this Sweepstakes.

  16. Severability: If any provision(s) of these Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.

  17. Winner List: The names of the winners may be posted on the Website within one month of the end of the Sweepstakes.
